Fast forward to now, he’s been in rescue care and Ruger has undergone surgery to remove majority of the bullets, fragments were left behind as this was the safest option. He has a broken vertebrae and this is why you see him wearing a neck brace- we were told it shouldn’t be a forever accessory and he should have it off in a few short weeks. Ruger can and will live a very healthy long term life- he has nothing stopping him once his neck brace comes off.
